Message to Parents

1. *Set Boundaries*  
   Avoid giving your child everything he asks for. He will grow up believing he has the right to get everything he wants.

2. *Teach Respect*  
   Avoid laughing when your child uses insulting words. He will grow up thinking that disrespect is entertaining.

3. *Address Bad Behavior*  
   Avoid being insensitive to bad behavior. Failing to scold him may lead him to believe there are no rules in society.

4. *Encourage Responsibility*  
   Avoid picking up after your child. He will grow up believing others should take responsibility for his actions.

5. *Monitor Media Consumption*  
   Avoid letting him watch any program on TV. He will grow up thinking there’s no difference between being a child and an adult.

6. *Teach the Value of Money*  
   Avoid giving your child all the money he asks for. He may grow up thinking money is easy to get and could resort to stealing.

7. *Stand for What’s Right*  
   Avoid siding with him when he’s wrong against neighbors, teachers, or police. He will grow up thinking he’s always right.

8. *Involve Him in Faith*  
   Avoid leaving him alone at home when you go to worship. He may grow up doubting the existence of God.
