Lagos GAC Endorses New Speaker Mojisola Meranda
The Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos State has officially endorsed Mojisola Meranda as the new Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, following the impeachment of former Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, over allegations of fraud and abuse of office.
Meranda assumed leadership on Monday after a majority of lawmakers voted for Obasa’s removal, describing it as a necessary step to safeguard the integrity of the assembly.
