The government stated that intelligence reports indicated potential violent rallies disguised as political or religious protests.
As part of the new measures, all rallies are prohibited, security convoys now require prior clearance, fishing activities in Kogi Local Government Area have been suspended due to a recent crisis, and additional security personnel have been deployed.
