Suspended Rivers Governor Fubara Seeks Reconciliation with Wike in Emotional Meeting

Suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, recently made an emotional visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in an attempt to reconcile with his former political ally.

 The visit, which took place on Friday, April 18, followed Fubara's meeting with President Bola Tinubu in London, where they discussed the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, which had led to Fubara's suspension along with other elected officials for six months.

Sources revealed that Fubara was accompanied by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and former Ogun Governor Olusegun Osoba. During the meeting, Fubara reportedly prostrated before Wike, held his legs, and referred to him as "My Oga" while pleading for forgiveness in a dramatic gesture. Fubara stayed at Wike's residence until the early hours of Saturday, April 19.
