Kano State Censorship Board Suspends Kannywood Actress Samha M. Inuwa for Indecent Dressing

The Kano State Censorship Board has imposed a one-year suspension on popular Kannywood actress Samha M. Inuwa due to allegations of indecent dressing and provocative content in her videos. 

In a statement signed by Information Officer Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, the board announced that the decision to suspend Inuwa followed numerous complaints from the public regarding her conduct.

According to reports, the actress had been repeatedly warned about her “crude dressing, vulgar displays, and inappropriate language” in various videos but did not adhere to the board’s regulations. 

The disciplinary measures include revoking her status and halting the censorship of any film in which she appears. The Kano State Censorship Board emphasized its legal mandate to ensure that all creative works, including films and writings, align with the state’s religious, cultural, and moral values.

“This suspension is part of the board’s ongoing efforts to maintain moral standards in the Kannywood film industry and ensure strict adherence to its rules and regulations,” the statement concluded
