Kalu Urges Independent Review of JAMB’s UTME Systems After Widespread Technical Failures

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has called on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to initiate an independent audit of its examination systems following the technical issues that disrupted the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Speaking to National Assembly correspondents, Kalu stressed the need for JAMB to uphold the credibility of national examinations by adopting real-time monitoring tools. He emphasized that this is essential to prevent a repeat of the glitches that impacted over 380,000 candidates, particularly in examination centres across the South East and Lagos.
