Iran Vows Retaliation Against U.S. Military Action
Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated following a stern warning from Iranian officials in response to President Donald Trump’s push for a renewed nuclear agreement.
Trump had recently sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, proposing two options: a fresh nuclear deal or the threat of military intervention. The message, delivered through diplomatic channels in Oman, was met with strong resistance from Tehran.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Qalibaf issued a fiery response during a speech at the annual Al-Quds Day rally, warning that any U.S. aggression would ignite widespread conflict across the Middle East. “If America dares to violate Iran’s sovereignty, the region will explode like a spark in an ammunition depot,” he said. “Their military bases and those of their allies will not be spared.
