IGP Kayode Egbetokun Issues Warning on Police Involvement in Civil Disputes
Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun stated in September 2025 that police officers should not escort parties for land recovery or interfere in civil claims unless there is a proven criminal element involved.
He warned that officers who violate this directive would face disciplinary action
