FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has opened up about the political consequences he believes he could face if President Bola Tinubu loses the 2027 presidential election to Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi.

Speaking during a media chat, Wike said he believes he could become one of the first political figures targeted because of his decision to openly support Tinubu despite remaining a member of the PDP.

“I will be the first politician that I think they will come after. I will be the first politician. I know they will come for my head.”

Despite the criticism and potential political fallout, Wike said his support for Tinubu’s re-election remains unwavering.

“Each day I sleep, I am thinking about the president’s reelection. When I am eating, I think about the president’s reelection.”

The former Rivers State governor also said he has faced intense criticism over his political stance but insists he is not bothered by the names his critics call him.
