Senate Suspends Plenary Until June 17
The Nigerian Senate has officially adjourned its plenary session until Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in recognition of the upcoming Democracy Day and Eid Mubarak festivities.
The break is intended to give lawmakers time to participate in the national holiday commemorating Nigeria's return to democratic rule, as well as to observe the Muslim celebration marking the end of the holy month.
The Senate is expected to reconvene after the holidays to resume legislative duties and continue deliberations on pressing national matters.
