Finance Ministry Dismisses Allegations of N13 Billion Contract Misconduct

The Federal Ministry of Finance has strongly refuted recent allegations suggesting that it awarded contracts worth N13 billion without following due process between February and June 2024.

In a statement released by the Ministry’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga, the Finance Ministry emphasized that all contracts awarded under the supervision of Minister Wale Edun and Permanent Secretary Lydia Shehu Jafiya strictly adhered to legal and regulatory guidelines.

The clarification came in response to claims published by Akelicious, accusing the Ministry of bypassing procurement rules in awarding high-value contracts.
