FG Scraps Bilateral Scholarships to Prioritize Local Universities and Expand Access

In a move to redirect resources and strengthen the country’s educational system, the Federal Government has officially ended the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Programme. 

This decision was confirmed in a press statement by Mrs. Boriowo Folasade, Director of Press at the Federal Ministry of Education.

According to the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, the discontinuation of the BEA programme follows a comprehensive policy review aimed at realigning Nigeria’s education priorities.
