EFCC Probes Former NNPC Chiefs, Including Mele Kyari, Over $2.9 Billion Refinery Rehabilitation Funds

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an investigation into former executives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) over the alleged mismanagement of $2.896 billion allocated for refinery rehabilitation.

Key figures under scrutiny include former NNPC Group Chief Executive Mele Kyari and his predecessor Abubakar Yar'Adua, along with former managing directors of the Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Warri refineries.
