UN Judge Sentenced to Over 6 Years in UK
Lydia Mugambe, a Ugandan judge serving with the United Nations and on Uganda's High Court, has been sentenced to six years and four months in a UK prison after being found guilty of enslaving a young woman.
The 50-year-old was convicted under the UK’s Modern Slavery Act.
According to court findings, Mugambe exploited the victim while studying law at Oxford University.
