EFCC Faces Scandal as $350,000 and Jewelry Go Missing

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is embroiled in a significant scandal following the reported disappearance of between $350,000 and $400,000 in cash, along with expensive jewelry and other high-value items, from its Lagos Zonal Command. 

Sources indicate that the incident has led to the detention of 10 officers as investigations unfold. This issue comes shortly after the EFCC dismissed 27 officials for misconduct and fraudulent activities, raising serious questions about accountability and oversight within the agency.

The recent dismissals were based on recommendations from the EFCC Staff Disciplinary Committee and were ratified by Chairman Ola Olukoyede.
