NADF and GIZ Unite to Champion course in Agriculture
In a bold move to reshape Nigeria’s agricultural future, the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) have reaffirmed their joint commitment to financing farming systems that empower women, embrace climate resilience, and promote inclusivity.
This vision was brought to life at the Climate-Smart and Gender-Inclusive Financing Validation Workshop held in Abuja on Wednesday, where stakeholders finalized a framework designed to provide tailored financial support to millions of women and youth across the country’s agricultural value chain.
Mohammed Ibrahim, Executive Secretary of NADF, described the initiative as a transformative effort to make agricultural financing more accessible and practical.
“Our goal is to break down the barriers that hinder Nigerian farmers, especially women and youth.
This framework is not just a concept it’s about delivering real solutions, from bundled financing and mechanization to digital microloans through mobile wallets,” he said.
