EFCC Accuses Chief Timipre Sylva of Misappropriating $14.8 Million Meant for Refinery Project

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, of alleged involvement in a conspiracy and the fraudulent diversion of $14,859,257.

According to the EFCC, the funds were allocated by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited for the construction of a refinery project.

Investigators claim that instead of being used for its intended purpose, the money was dishonestly converted for personal use
