Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu Accuses Abia Governor Alex Otti’s Government 

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ben Kalu, has publicly criticized the administration of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, accusing it of pressuring retirees to relinquish over ₦70 billion in gratuity payments.

Kalu alleged that the state government had coerced pensioners into accepting unfavorable terms regarding their entitlements, describing the act as unfair and exploitative toward those who served the state diligently.
