Dele Momodu Resigns from PDP, Joins ADC Over “Hijack by Antidemocratic Forces”

Former presidential aspirant and media mogul, Dele Momodu, has officially resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and declared his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a strongly worded letter, Momodu revealed that his decision stemmed from the “undeniable hijack” of the PDP by what he described as antidemocratic elements, both internally and externally.

> “I wish to inform you of my decision to resign from our political party, PDP, with immediate effect. My reason is simple and straightforward. Our party has been unarguably hijacked by antidemocratic forces, from within and outside, in broad daylight,” Momodu wrote.

He described the current state of the PDP as a “carcass”, urging fellow Nigerians who still believe in democracy to rally around the emerging coalition party, ADC.

> “It is, therefore, honourable to abandon the carcass of the party to them while the majority of us earnestly sign up with the new coalition party known as the African Democratic Congress (ADC). I will forever treasure the kind support you gave me at all times,” he added.
