China Launches World's First 10-Gigabit Commercial Broadband Service
China has just introduced the world’s first 10-Gigabit commercial broadband service in Sunan County, Hebei, powered by Huawei and China Unicom.
While most of the world is still marveling at gigabit fiber, China has leapfrogged with speeds that shatter expectations. Real-world tests have seen download speeds of 9,834 Mbps and upload speeds of 1,008 Mbps, all with an impressive 3 ms latency, thanks to the advanced 50G-PON technology.
