Chelsea Secures Dário Essugo in €22M Deal from Sporting CP

Chelsea has officially sealed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Dário Essugo from Sporting CP for a fixed fee of €22 million. 

The deal does not include any sell-on clause or add-ons, making it a straightforward transfer for the Blues.

Essugo, 19, has signed a long-term contract with Chelsea until June 2032, with an option to extend until June 2033. 

The highly-rated midfielder is expected to be part of Chelsea’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, as the club continues its strategy of investing in young talents for the future
