CBN Suspends Approvals for Extension of Repatriation of Export Proceeds
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a circular announcing the immediate suspension of approvals for the extension of repatriation of export proceeds on behalf of exporters.
This new policy will take effect starting January 8, 2025.
Under this directive, the CBN will no longer authorize requests from approved dealer banks seeking additional time to repatriate export proceeds for their clients.
