BREAKING: Hawk Fire Explodes Near Reno, Thousands Evacuated ????????
The Hawk Fire near Reno, Nevada, has rapidly grown out of control, forcing thousands of residents from their homes as firefighters battle the fast-moving blaze.
An incident commander said the fire was human-caused, although officials have not publicly detailed how it started.
By Sunday, the wildfire had burned more than 13,000 acres with no containment reported, according to state fire officials.
Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency in Washoe County as evacuation orders expanded across parts of northwestern Reno.
At least three civilians and three first responders have been injured, according to Shane Akerson of the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.
Around 5,000 people have also been left without power as crews continue working to protect homes and communities.
