Black Community Divided Over Man Shot by White Girlfriend After His Anti-Black Tweets Resurface

A tragic incident in Midville, Georgia, has sparked heated discussions online after a Black man was fatally shot by his white girlfriend. The case took an unexpected twist when the man’s old social media posts, where he openly expressed dislike for Black people, started circulating.

30-year-old Telvin “Telbo Rackins” Osborne lost his life in the early hours of Sunday, February 23, following a dispute with his girlfriend, Hannah Grace Cobb. Authorities say the argument escalated after a night of drinking. Initially, Cobb claimed she accidentally fired the gun while attempting to clean it, but further investigation led to her being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to the scene around 5:45 a.m. on Four Points Road, near Waynesboro. Osborne was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

After his family publicly demanded justice, many within the Black community joined the call, pushing for Cobb’s arrest. However, the discovery of Osborne’s past tweets filled with derogatory remarks toward Black women and praise for white women has caused a divide in public opinion.

Currently, Cobb faces multiple charges, including simple battery, family violence, and reckless conduct related to the shooting. The case continues to trend online as debates over race, relationships, and self-hate dominate the conversation
