"After Office, I'm Picking Up My Welding Torch Again – Gov. Sule"
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has revealed that he plans to return to his roots in welding once he completes his tenure in office.
Speaking at a roundtable hosted by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in Abuja, Governor Sule highlighted his passion for technical skills and reaffirmed his dedication to promoting vocational training and industrial development in Nasarawa.
“I began my journey as a technician a welder before advancing into CNC machining,” he said. “Once I’m done with governance, I’m going back to welding. That’s why we’ve made technical education a badge of honor in Nasarawa.”
He noted that the state now hosts one of the leading technical schools in the country, with even Abuja-based companies sending their workers for training. “We want the influx of industries into Nasarawa to meet a ready pool of skilled technicians,” he added.
