2Face’s Fiancée, Natasha Osawaru, Removed as Minority Leader of Edo State House of Assembly
Natasha Osawaru, fiancée of music star 2Face and member of the Edo State House of Assembly, has been removed from her position as minority leader.
Osawaru, who represents the Egor constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was ousted following a shift in the legislative power balance after four PDP lawmakers defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), giving the APC a new majority in the house.
Her removal was part of a broader leadership shake-up that also saw Charity Aiguobarueghian, the former majority leader, and Yekini Idaiye, the former chief whip, exit their positions. Despite these changes, PDP’s Blessing Agbebaku and Maria Edeko retained their roles as Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively.
The shake-up followed a formal notification from Jarret Tenebe, acting chairman of the APC in Edo State, declaring the party's new majority status. In response, Speaker Agbebaku appointed new APC leaders, including Ibhamawu Aigbokhan (Esan West) as majority leader, Addeh Isibor (Esan North-East I) as deputy leader, and Lecky Hussein Mustapha (Etsako West I) as chief whip. Agbebaku also indicated that PDP leadership would soon submit nominees for the remaining principal positions, with the possibility of reviewing his own position as well as that of the deputy speaker.
