Residents of Yelewata village in Benue State are leveling shocking accusations amid investigations into the June 13–14 massacre.

 According to villagers, the attack by suspected Fulani militia was not only staged but reportedly facilitated by members of the Nigerian Army. Locals say they received advance warnings hours before the raid but claim military personnel present did nothing to stop the violence or actively stood by as the assailants struck.
