White House Jokes Trump’s Rant Helped Shedeur Sanders Get Drafted

Shedeur Sanders might owe a thank you to Donald Trump at least, that’s the joke coming from the White House.

After the former Colorado quarterback slipped through Day 1 of the NFL Draft, former President Trump blasted teams on Truth Social, calling them "stupid" for passing on Sanders and praising his Hall of Fame father, Deion Sanders, for raising him well.

When asked Monday if Trump’s fiery post had anything to do with Sanders eventually being picked 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded with a grin, "All I will say is the President put out a statement, and a few rounds later he was drafted. I think the facts speak for themselves."
