US President Donald Trump has imposed a new round of travel restrictions affecting several African countries, citing security and immigration concerns.
According to the announcement, a full travel ban now applies to citizens of Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan, effectively barring entry into the United States.
Meanwhile, partial entry restrictions have been placed on citizens of Angola, Benin, Burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Mauritania, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, The Gambia, and Zambia
