Ugandan presidential candidate Mubarak Munyagwa has promised to replace Swahili with French as an official language if he wins the upcoming election.
Munyagwa argued that adopting French would strengthen Uganda’s ties with Francophone nations and open up new opportunities for trade, diplomacy, and regional cooperation.
