Trump Weighs 100% Tariffs on Nicaraguan Exports
The U.S. Trade Representative has proposed imposing 100% tariffs on goods imported from Nicaragua as part of a retaliatory measure over alleged labor and human rights violations.
Under the plan, Nicaragua could also be removed from the Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR), effectively stripping the country of trade benefits.
