Tragedy Strikes Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali as He Loses Both Parents Within Six Weeks

Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, is mourning a devastating personal loss after losing both his father and mother within the space of just one and a half months.

Nwabali’s father passed away on November 14, 2024, while his mother died on December 31, 2024, dealing a heavy emotional blow to the national team star at the peak of his football career.

Opening up about the painful experience, the goalkeeper revealed how the double tragedy nearly pushed him away from the game he loves.

“I’m trying to move forward and stay strong, but sometimes I feel like giving up. At one point, I even told my captain that I wanted to quit football,” he said
