Tinubu Appoints Senator Binta Masi Garba as Pro-Chancellor of New Federal University in Ekiti

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Senator Binta Masi Garba as the Pro-Chancellor of the newly established Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State. 

This appointment is part of the government's efforts to expand access to higher education and promote technological and environmental advancements in Nigeria.

In addition to Senator Garba, the Governing Council of the university will include Prof. Joseph Olurotimi Sanya, Mr. Efe Emefienin Emmanuel, Dr. Joyce Ogunyemi, and Alhaji Dahiru Abdullahi Ruma. These individuals are expected to provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the institution achieves its mandate.

Furthermore, the Principal Officers of the university have also been appointed. Prof. James Olugbenga Aribisala will serve as the Vice-Chancellor, leading the institution’s academic and administrative affairs. Mr. Oluwole Olalere Dada has been appointed as the Registrar, while Mrs. Adeniyi Rachael Ajayi will take on the role of Bursar, overseeing the financial management of the university. Additionally, Prof. Isaac Oluwadare Busayo has been named Librarian, ensuring the institution’s academic resources are effectively managed
