Tanzania Pushes Forward with $30 Billion LNG Project to Harness 49.5 Trillion Cubic Feet of Gas

Tanzania is moving ahead with the massive Likongo Mchinga Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project, valued at $30 billion, designed to unlock 49.5 trillion cubic feet of offshore natural gas reserves. 

The initiative, spearheaded by Shell, is expected to position Tanzania as a global LNG hub while boosting industrial growth, strengthening energy security, and expanding Africa’s role in international trade.
