The Special Adviser on New Media to the Speaker has clarified that the Speaker’s recent remarks were not an outright rejection of borrowing.
Instead, the call was for greater oversight, transparency, and accountability in the management of public debt.
According to the aide, loans should be channeled into tangible development projects such as roads, schools, hospitals, and innovation that directly benefit citizens.
