Sowore Criticizes Military Promotions, Says Insecurity Won’t End with “Tired” Leadership

Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has taken aim at the Nigerian security structure, questioning how individuals with no real combat experience are elevated to top military ranks.

> “Only in Nigeria can someone who has never fought a war become a General,” Sowore said, highlighting what he views as a disconnect between leadership titles and real-world experience.

He also criticized the performance of the Nigeria Police, saying:
