Sokoto Prison Not Safe for Kanu, Lawyer Raises Alarm After US Airstrikes
Aloy Ejimakor, lead counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, has raised serious security concerns over his client’s continued detention in Sokoto State following recent United States airstrikes in the area.
Ejimakor’s comments come after the United States carried out airstrikes targeting ISIS-linked terrorists in Jabo village, Sokoto State. Confirming the operation, Donald Trump described the strikes as “powerful and deadly,” while the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) disclosed that the action was conducted at the request of Nigerian authorities.
