Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio Becomes New ECOWAS Chairman
Julius Maada Bio, the President of Sierra Leone, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
He succeeds Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, who has held the leadership position for the past two years.
Bio is expected to steer the regional body through its next phase of development and cooperation
