The Senegalese government has stopped an LGBTQ+ related event organized with support from the United Nations and the Dutch Embassy, citing the nation’s laws and cultural values as the reason for the intervention.
The event, which was to include a film screening and panel discussion, was canceled after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official warning, reminding all diplomatic missions that their activities must comply with local legislation
