Senator Seriake Slams Tinubu Over Rivers Crisis: "You Can't Celebrate Democracy While Undermining It"

Senator Dickson Seriake has criticized President Bola Tinubu for what he described as a contradiction between the celebration of Democracy Day and the ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State.

Speaking out on Tuesday, the former Bayelsa governor expressed disappointment that the presidency has yet to address or resolve the crisis threatening democratic governance in Rivers.

“You cannot be celebrating democracy while trampling your big presidential foot in Rivers State,” Seriake stated, accusing the President of turning a blind eye to what he called the erosion of democratic rule in the state.
