President Tinubu Honours Bill Gates 

President Bola Tinubu has conferred one of Nigeria’s highest national honors, the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), on American philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

The award recognizes Gates’ long-standing contributions to Nigeria, particularly through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s work in public health, education, and poverty alleviation. 

Over the years, the foundation has invested heavily in vaccination programs, polio eradication, and maternal health initiatives across the country.
