President Tinubu Appoints Nwakuche Ndidi as Acting Controller-General of Nigerian Correctional Service
President Bola Tinubu has officially approved the appointment of Nwakuche Ndidi as the Acting Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, effective December 15, 2024.
This announcement was made by Ja’afaru Ahmed, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Board.
Ndidi’s appointment follows the conclusion of Haliru Nababa's tenure as Comptroller General. In the statement, President Tinubu expressed confidence in Ndidi's capabilities, urging him to leverage his extensive experience in his new role.
Born on November 26, 1966, in Oguta, Imo State, Ndidi previously served as the Deputy Controller-General overseeing the Training and Staff Development Directorate. He is a fellow of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies and holds the national honor of Member of the Federal Republic.
