Police Arrest US Returnee and Accomplices for Uber Driver Murder in Lagos

The police in Lagos State have arrested David Segun, a 21-year-old US returnee, along with two accomplices, for allegedly killing an Uber driver in the Obalende area on January 9. 

Commissioner of Police Ishola Olanrewaju confirmed the arrests, stating that Segun and his friends ordered an Uber ride from Chevron in Lekki to Obalende at midnight.

 Upon arrival in a secluded area, the group reportedly conspired to rob and murder the driver, stabbing him multiple times in the neck. 

Despite their attempts, they were unable to steal the vehicle. Fortunately, the intervention of good Samaritans in the vicinity led to the immediate arrest of two suspects, who were then handed over to police operatives at Lion Building.
