Plateau Police Clarify Stance on VeryDarkMan's Missing N180 Million
The Plateau State Police Command has stated that they are not involved in the investigation regarding the alleged hacking of VeryDarkMan's NGO, the Martins Vincent Otse Initiative, from which N180 million was reportedly stolen.
DSP Alabo Alfred, the Police Public Relations Officer, clarified that the case was neither reported to them nor did the incident occur within their jurisdiction. VeryDarkMan had previously disclosed that hackers drained his NGO's account, claiming that one suspect had been apprehended and expressing intentions to travel to Jos to recover the missing funds.
Alfred emphasized, "The matter is not reported to us. We are not the ones handling it because the crime was not committed within our jurisdiction." He explained that if the incident occurred in Abuja, it would need to be addressed by the police in that region.
The PPRO suggested that if VeryDarkMan reported the case to the Force CID or the FCT Command, those respective authorities would be responsible for the investigation
