NYSC Confirms ₦77,000 Monthly Allowance for Corps Members from March 2025

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially confirmed that corps members will begin receiving an increased monthly allowance of ₦77,000 starting from March 2025.

Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director General of NYSC, made the announcement during an interactive session with corps members at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in Abuja on Thursday.

Addressing concerns about the delayed implementation of the new allowance, General Nafiu reassured corps members that both the NYSC and the Federal Government remain fully committed to their welfare and that the payment would commence as planned.

Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, NYSC member Zaka Deborah Alheri (Call Number: FC/24A/5831) expressed gratitude to the Director General for his efforts in securing the long-awaited increment, which is expected to significantly improve the financial well-being of serving corps members
