Nigerian Man Denied Bail in Malaysia After Allegedly Biting Off Policeman’s Ear During Arrest

A Nigerian student, Okenyehike Kelvin Obianke, has been denied bail by a Malaysian court after being accused of biting off part of a police officer's ear during a confrontation in Kuala Lumpur. 

The 38-year-old, who is studying at a private college, pleaded not guilty to the charge in a magistrates' court on Tuesday.

The incident reportedly occurred on April 25 outside a clinic in the Metro Prima area of Kepong. According to authorities, Corporal Danielrul Azraq Ahmad Khair, a 36-year-old officer from the Sentul district patrol unit, was responding to a report of a foreign man behaving erratically when the altercation took place.
