Nigerian Egusi Seeds Sent to Space in Groundbreaking NASA Mission

In a historic scientific feat, Nigerian grown Egusi seeds have officially made their way to space aboard a NASA mission.

 The trailblazing experiment is led by Nigerian space scientist Temidayo Oniosun, an alumnus of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

The goal of the mission is to assess the nutritional value and long term viability of Egusi seeds for future space travel and extended human habitation beyond Earth.
