NELFUND Flags Concerns Over Unreturned Overpayments to Students

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Akintunde Sawyerr, has raised concerns over cases where some students have not received refunds after double payments were made to their institutions.

 He explained that in instances where both students and NELFUND have paid tuition fees, it results in an overpayment to the schools. According to Sawyerr, those extra funds should be reimbursed to the students, but in some cases, that process has not been carried out. 

He described the situation as a serious issue that needs urgent attention.
