NCoS Announces ₦5 Million Reward for Tips on Seven Inmates Who Escaped from Ilesa Prison

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has declared a ₦5 million cash reward for anyone who provides credible information that results in the capture of seven inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State.

According to NCoS spokesperson Umar Abubakar, the breakout occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday after heavy overnight rains caused a section of the prison's perimeter wall to collapse. The inmates exploited the breach to make their escape under cover of darkness.
