Nate Diaz Charged with Battery After Nightclub Altercation in Las Vegas
Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz has been charged with battery following an alleged altercation at the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas on August 25. Court documents obtained by TMZ Sports detail that the incident took place shortly after midnight while Diaz and his group were trying to enter the club at Caesars Palace.
Witnesses reported that Diaz and his associates were causing delays at the cashier line, prompting a security guard to approach them. Tensions escalated when Diaz allegedly pushed the guard, who then shoved back. The situation intensified when Diaz reportedly struck the guard in the face with an "open right hand."
This account aligns with a video that emerged online in September, showing Diaz in a shoving match outside the nightclub. In the footage, he appears to swipe at a man's face, knocking off his glasses.
The altercation was eventually diffused by other security personnel, but Diaz had left before police arrived. An arrest warrant has since been issued for the 39-year-old fighter, and a misdemeanor case is currently underway
